Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Procurement Officer to join the Mecatron team! As a key member of our multidisciplinary group, you will be responsible for sourcing and acquiring the materials, equipment, and resources necessary for all our underwater robotics projects and research initiatives. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to develop high-performance vehicles and participate in marine competitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, parts, and equipment for Mecatron's underwater vehicle development projects.
• Procure items with accuracy, ensuring cost-efficiency and timely delivery to the lab.
• Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure the best prices and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with the engineering team to understand technical requirements for materials and components, providing regular updates on delivery timelines.
• Maintain inventory and manage the logistics of procurement.
• Resolve and follow-up on any disputes or issues related to orders.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in NTU.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms including Taobao, Shopee and Lazada.
• Ability to manage multiple procurement tasks and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, negotiation skills and attention to detail.
• Interest in marine science, robotics, and technology development.
