Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and creative STEM Outreach Coordinator to join Mecatron! As an event coordinator in our team, you will be responsible for organizing and executing events that showcase our underwater robotics projects, foster team collaboration, and promote marine science education. Your work will help build community engagement and inspire the next generation of engineers and marine enthusiasts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute plans for events, workshops, and outreach initiatives to showcase Mecatron’s projects OR to nurture inspire the next generation of marine scientists and engineers.
• Create detailed event proposals, timelines, and action plans to align with team goals.
• Oversee logistics, including venue booking, manpower allocation, and event scheduling, to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage event budgets effectively, ensuring all activities are delivered on time and within scope.
• Prepare necessary materials, such as marketing collateral and educational resources, to support event objectives.
• Assess the success of events by gathering feedback and documenting lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in any relevant field in NTU or NIE.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and experience in event promotion and coordination.
• Creativity and a passion for organizing engaging events.
• Interest in marine science, technology, and educational outreach programs.
